  • Katakana
  • Kanji

Hiragana is the standard form of writing for Japanese words and phrases.

Katakana カタカナ 片仮名
Katakana form of writing are used for English words that are translated to Japanese.
Example is Television is known as テレビ Terebi

*Note: The letters (alphabets) for Hiragana and Katakana are totally different.
